Student Scholarship Awards
MISSION
The Scholarship Program is designed to recognize a student who is pursuing a career in the lodging industry through dedicated efforts of excelling in study, work, and school-related activities that enhance goals of high standards.
A $500.00 scholarship is given to the participating school to be presented to the chosen student for the use of school tuition, books, or other expenses assisting their education.
CRITERIA ELIGIBILITY
- The nominee must be a full-time student in a hotel management, food & beverage, lodging, or tourism program.
- The nominee must be enrolled at the time the scholarship is presented.
- The nominee should have an excellent GPA.
ENTRY
To submit the nomination for the TH&LA Student Scholarship Award, sponsored by PAETEC, a nomination form must be completed and submitted by the designated faculty member at each participating college/university. All nominations should be returned to Caroline Dawson at the Tennessee Hotel & Lodging Association at 500 Interstate Boulevard South, Suite 304, Nashville, TN 37210 or via fax at (615) 385-9957.

AWARD PRESENTATION
Each region's local hotel association president will present a $500.00 scholarship to the selected student at a luncheon in their honor.
We appreciate those participating in the TH&LA Scholarship Program, and we take great pride in our Tennessee state institutions of higher learning and their commitment to the lodging industry.
